ANNE NODDELAND

My name is Anne Noddeland and I am a Travel- and Nature Photographer. I live in Lindesnes, at the southernmost point of Norway. I have been a member of Mandal Photo Club and BioFoto since 2019. 

For several years now, this hobby has given me lots of wonderful experiences that I never would have dreamt of before.

Together with my husband, who is an ornithologist, I have travelled to different countries, and photographed wildlife in remote and amazing places. Travelling with a birdwatcher means that I need to think fast and be alert at all times. It also means that using several hours to capture one special species is out of the question. On the other hand, I am lucky to experience, and hopefully get pictures, of unusual species and unusual places.  

My photographic journey started in 2010 on our first family trip to southern Tanzania. My husband was photographing birds and wildlife with his Canon, and I was trying to capture our days and adventures with a small compact camera. I did not get the result I wanted and decided to learn more about photographing. Our next trip turned out much better!

I now use Canon R5 and R6, and my favourite lens must be the Canon RF 100-500. This lens is light enough for long walks, and it is suitable for both closeups, landscape, action, portrait, and creative photo. This makes me able to capture most situations and species that we meet on our journeys across the world. 

My husband, Jon Gabriel Noddeland, is the main reason for my photo interest, and since birding and photo go hand in hand, we can travel the world together. My husband is also doing some photography, and some of the photos on this website are his.
